The Raspberry Pi AI Camera, equipped with the IMX500 Intelligent Vision Sensor from Sony, offers high-speed edge AI inference in a compact, all-in-one solution that works with any Raspberry Pi.
Compatible with all Raspberry Pi computers, the Raspberry Pi AI Camera takes advantage of Sony’s IMX500 Intelligent Vision Sensor to help you create impressive vision AI applications and neural network models using the on-module AI processor.
- Unmatched Image Quality: The SONY IMX500 sensor delivers exceptional image quality and low-light performance, capturing stunning visuals even in challenging conditions.
- On-Board AI Processing: Offload computationally intensive tasks to the camera's integrated inference accelerator, freeing up your Raspberry Pi's processor for other operations. This enables real-time AI processing and reduces latency.
- Pre-trained Machine Vision Model: Get started with AI immediately using the pre-installed MobileNet model, which is optimized for object detection and classification tasks.
- Open up your View: The AI camera module is equipped with a wide field of view (76º) and a manually adjustable focus lens, providing you with the flexibility to capture images and videos in various scenarios.
- Easy Integration: The included two 200mm FPC cables (One is 15-way FPC for Pi3B/3B+/3A+/4B, and another is 22-way FPC for Zero/Pi5) ensure seamless connectivity with all Raspberry Pi computers, making incorporating the camera module into your projects simple.
The Raspberry Pi AI Camera is compatible with all Raspberry Pi computers. The PCB outline and mounting hole locations are identical to those of Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3, while the overall depth is greater to accommodate the larger IMX500 sensor and optical subassembly. As it comes with both the 15-way and 22-way FPC cables, this Raspberry Pi AI Camera module is compatible with all Raspberry Pi Computers including:
- CM4 carrier board with compatible FPC connector
The IMX500’s tight integration with Raspberry Pi’s camera software stack allows users to deploy their own neural network models with minimal effort. To get started, we’ve developed a guide to get you running either a pre-packaged or custom-made neural network model on the camera.
Create AI models and applications for the IMX500 Intelligent Vision Sensor and Raspberry Pi, then scale up to an enterprise deployment with AITRIOS.
Local Studio walks you through the necessary steps to efficiently label, train and produce AI models.
